Prince Harry says 'I want my father and brother back' in bombshell ITV interview..

Prince Harry says he wants his "father and brother back" in the first look at a bombshell new ITV interview.

Filmed in California, where Harry now lives, Harry: The Interview, sees the Prince go into unprecedented depth and detail on life in and out of the Royal Family.

Speaking to ITV News at Ten presenter Tom Bradby, who Harry has known for more than 20 years, the prince shares his personal story in his own words.

The 90-minute special will be broadcast two days before Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare is published on 10 January as part of a publicity trail for the tell-all tome.

The in-depth interview will cover a range of subjects including his personal relationships, never-before-heard details surrounding the death of his mother, Diana, and a look ahead at his future after quitting the Royal Family alongside wife Meghan Markle.

In the twenty second preview clip, Harry is heard telling Tom "it never needed to be this way".

"It never needed to be this way, the leaking and the planting, I want a family - not an institution," he tells the ITV newsreader.

"They feel that it's somehow better to keep us as the villains.

"They've shown no willingness to reconcile.

"I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back," says Harry.

Michael Jermey, ITV Director of News and Current Affairs, said the interview will be something 'everyone should want to watch' as Harry prepares to reveal all about his family.

“It is extremely rare for a member of the Royal Family to speak so openly about their experience at the heart of the institution.

“Tom Bradby’s interview with Prince Harry will be a programme that everyone with an informed opinion on the monarchy should want to watch," teased Jermey.

Ian Rumsey, ITN Productions Managing Director and Executive Producer, said: "Harry's version of events contains many elements we've never heard before, as viewers will see. It is a raw and intimate perspective on his relationships with the people closest to him and the moments that have shaped him."

It comes as Harry prepares to release his book Spare, which an advanced reader has already claimed takes aim at his brother Prince William and the Princess of Wales.

The source told The Sunday Times: “Generally, I think the book [will be] worse for them than the royal family is expecting.

“Everything is laid bare. Charles comes out of it better than I had expected, but it’s tough on William, in particular, and even Kate gets a bit of a broadside.
